Last night was Stephen's first night back on this shift, and talk about an eventful evening! First off the boys and I go outside to swim, and the top ring of our pool was almost totally deflated and was about to start leaking water. So I found the hole (where Toby had jumped on it or bit it, I'm not sure which) and aired it back up while Levi held his finger on the hole. Then I searched for our patches and couldn't find them, finally paged stephen and he got sidetracked and forgot to call me. Luckily in my search for the patches, I found the tape he had used before to cover a hole once before. So while I am doing all of this Venece called me, and I told her what was going on and she had Stephen paged for me again. then he called and said he didn't remember where they were, and just to make sure air wasn't leaking around the tape and it should be ok. So I put a few more strips over it, since it was hissing, and it seemed to hold fine then.
I didn't get in bed until after midnight last night. I got the boys in bed around 10:30pm (and of course Seth still got up before 7 this morning...arrhh!!!) But I went in our bathroom to get ready for bed, and what do I find? ANTS! Covering our countertops, and going up the corner wall by Stephen's sink. So I run and get the "home defense, indoor" spray and cleared the countertop and started spraying. I sprayed our whole bathroom, and bedroom, living room, boys bathroom, and kitchen. while spraying the kitchen, I was spraying a corner from bottom to top and some kind of bug had apparently been on the ceiling and it started flying at me, so I was spraying at it....and it got sprayed over to my curtains. Then it crawled in there! So I went and got a fly-swatter and tried to get it out, finally killed it and trashed it. then I had to clean up some of the "over-spray" from spraying at it while it was flying at me! haha... Then I had to go to our bathroom and clean all the dead ants off of the counters and walls. I finally got it all finished. The only rooms I didn't spray were the boys rooms and office, because they are sleeping and I didn't want them breathing that stuff while they are asleep, or risking the chance of waking them up.
Ok so why does this all have to happen to me on Stephen's first night on this new shift? This is not a good way to start this off! I am just PRAYING that tonight is UN-eventful! haha :)
