Happy Anniversary!!!

My Handsome Hubby totally surprised me this morning! I thought we were going to celebrate our anniversary by going out to dinner (by ourselves) next week. But this morning he came home and the boys ran out to meet him, while I was making breakfast. Then they ran in with big smiles on their faces! Levi handed me the most beautiful bouquet of long-stemmed roses and said "Happy Birthday!" haha Close enough. Then Seth handed me a Card, and said "card"! haha So I gave Stephen his card to.

I was so elated over all of this! Stephen hardly ever gives flowers...so this was a MAJOR surprise for me! They are so beautiful!!! They are called "Red Intuition" roses, and are a descendant of "The Painter's Rose". Talk about gorgeous!!! They even came with plant food and instructions on how to keep them alive for longer. So I arranged them in a vase, and couldn't stop smiling!

Then we were all sitting at the table eating breakfast together, and Levi said something to his Daddy. Stephen said "oh yea, that reminds me, I forgot about something", and he got up and walked over to his bag. I assumed it was something for work, so I continued eating my breakfast. Then he walks over and hands me this small box. My heart immediately jumped into my throat! What could this be? Could this day get even better? IT DID!!! I opened it up and it was an "Anniversary Band"! It is so beautiful!!! I have always adored these rings, and hoped one day I would have one. But never in my wildest dreams did I imagine he would surprise me with one!!!! Talk about complete and total surprise!!! I was so ecstatic, I couldn't stop hugging/kissing him and telling him thank you! I love it!!!! It is to big right now, but he said they will send it off and have it sized for me, for FREE. I just have to take it in, and then be without it for a few weeks. I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Talk about scoring some major points this morning!!! I am going to owe Stephen big time for all of this....of course we all know what that means......he is going to have me out in the shed, helping him finish building/sanding/staining those cabinets and shelves that he is building for some friends of ours! haha ;)

Thank you Stephen, I love you so much. I am so thankful that God brought us together, and allowed me to be your wife. The past 10 years have been amazing, and I know the next 50-60 will just be even better.
The boys ran out to meet Daddy when he got home this morning, and I was making Breakfast. Then they come in smiling ear to ear and Levi hands me these long stem roses, and says "Happy Birthday!" haha Ok, close enough to "Happy Anniversary". :) Then Seth handed me a card to go with it. Talk about sweet!
Here are my beautiful roses, they are long stem, and came in a beautiful sleeve...then I put them in one of my vases. They even came with plant food and directions on how to keep them alive longer! Wow!
See these amazing stripes on the roses? They are called "Red Intuition" roses. It is a descendant of "The Painter's Rose". They are so beautiful!
Aren't these roses perfectly beautiful!!! They smell amazing!!!
If you look closeup, you can see these stripes on the roses, they are so beautiful!!!
He conveniently forgot about this! haha We were eating breakfast, and Levi said something...and Stephen said "oh yea, that reminds me..." and he got up from the table and ran over and got this. It is an Anniversary Band!!! I have always wanted one of these, I think they are so beautiful! Plus Anniversary's are such a statement of your committment to each other....for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part! We still mean those vows today!!! I am so blessed to have spent the last 10 years married to Stephen. He is a wonderful husband, and is truely my best friend. I would never want to go through life without him by my side.
It is a little big for me, it is a size 7, and I wear a 4 1/2 or 5 (which is why it is on my first finger instead of my wedding finger). But he said they told him that would have it sized for me, for FREE! :) I will just be without it for a few weeks....I don't know if I can part with it now...but I don't want it to be to big and lose it either.

Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary!!!!

Tomorrow, will be our 10th Wedding Anniversary! (July 27th) Wow! Time sure does go by fast. I still can't believe it. In a way it seems like just yesterday, but then again it feels we have been together forever (in a good way!) I think the first year of marriage was definitely the hardest...just learning how to live together. But since then, it has been great. I wouldn't change a thing, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

I don't know if we are really going to get to do anything special to celebrate...mainly because Stephen has to work. But I already told him that I want to have a family portrait made, to remember this time in our lives. Even if we don't get to do anything special, that is ok, as long as we are together. Last year, we were looking at houses and took the boys to the local Dairy Queen on our anniversary! haha But we were together and that was what counts.

Over the years we have changed a lot! We are both in a lot better shape now...and who knew my handsome hubby would become a Police Officer! I am so proud of him. He is so strong, good at his job, and oh so handsome in that uniform! :) His boys are proud of him too. Levi says when he grows up he wants to be a Cowboy Policeman! Seth, just crawls around pretending to be a dog or a cat! hahaha I worry about that child! :)

Happy Anniversary Handsome! I love you!!!!
Our engagement picture...10 years ago....I was only 18 and Stephen was 20. Just two young kids in love!...and still are!...ok, maybe just not as young now...but still in love! :)

Heart-breaking Day!

These past few weeks have been heart-breaking. Two weeks ago, tomorrow, we found out that my Papaw's Cancer had spread to his brain. So we all went up and spent the 4th of July with him and my Nanny. It was a wonderful day. He was talking, eating, working on the farm, you couldn't even really tell anything was different. But it went downhill fast. I went up this past Saturday night and stayed through Sunday night, and couldn't believe the difference. He could no longer get around on his own, and was having trouble eating anything because he could barely swallow. Then we went back up yesterday (Tuesday) to help Daddy take some of the cows to the sale. (We took some of Mom/Dad's and Nanny/Papaw's, because even though they are on 80 acres, we haven't had enough rain and are already having to feed, so they reduced the herd.) Anyway, yesterday he was even so much worse! It was so heartbreaking to see him like that. But I guess it helped in a way to, because I wouldn't want him to suffer like that for long.

This morning I got a call from My Mom at about 9am. She said he had just passed away. In a way it was a relief because I KNOW he is in heaven, and is no longer suffering or in pain. But it still hurts, and I will miss him terribly. He has been a pastor for about 45 years now, and was an amazing Man of God! He will be greatly missed! He touched so many people's lives over the years. I don't understand why these things happen, he was only 69 years old! Nanny and Papaw celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last August. Yet it is a comfort to know that he is with our Heavenly Father, and that I will see him again someday!

Please be praying for our family during this time.

We went camping this past weekend, and had a wonderful time! Aunt Michelle bought a 2 person tube, and we all had a blast on it. Who knew it could be so much fun?! I was impressed! The boys loved it, and never wanted to get out. Then my brother and his wife, and their little girl Samantha came over Sunday afternoon. We got Samantha out there on the tube, and she was just like Levi, never wanted to stop! haha She LOVED it too. I just wish I would have had taken more pictures with my camera. Especially of Stephen and his Dad riding it together. They were maniacs! haha They tried to get the tube outside the wake, and roared with laughter every time they about got thrown off...and speaking of thrown off. Stephen was the first to be thrown from the tube. We were riding it together, and I was hanging on for dear life, but the "adrenaline rush" freak that he is, was just sitting over there saying "it's more fun it you don't hold on", and then we went over some huge waves and I heard him say "it's a good thing I have this seat back to keep me in the tube", then I opened my eyes and he was gone! haha He had popped straight up in the air and the tube kept going and left him behind! hahaha It was really a lot of fun!
Aunt Michelle bought a new 2 person tube. The boys were the first in it, and Levi never wanted to get out! haha The boys loved it!!! (Ok, and us big kids did too! haha)
Here they go!!!! Not a bit scared either!
They had fun riding it together, but Levi wanted to go FAST, and we were afraid Seth might get scared.....so one of us rode with them after this, and they LOVED it!!!
I rode with Levi and Seth, so we could go "fast" like Levi wanted....And Daddy was a sweety and took these pictures....
Here we go!!!!!
You can see Levi, but you can only see the top of Seth's head. He is sitting right in front of me, laughing and having a good ole time!
This picture gives you an idea of just how rough the water was. The boys LOVED it! They laughed the whole time!
We were done....only for a moment....for someone else to get in the tube with Levi! haha
I cut all of Seth's curls off. It was just so hot, and everytime he came in from outside his little head was soaking wet. So I cut it....Now he looks like a Big Boy!!!!

10th Wedding Anniversary this month!!!!

On July 27th, we will celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary! Can you believer that?! Where has all of the time gone? It doesn't seem like that long ago that we got married....then again it seems like a lifetime ago...haha We were so young when we got married, and so much has changed in our lives over these 10 years. We were still in college, our first year of marriage. That was definitely the hardest year ever. Back then he got his degree and I thought he was going to be a "safety" man, little did I know he was going to eventually be a "keep the public safe" Policeman! haha I have just had to put my faith in God, and know that he will take care of him each day. He is really great at his job, and talk about handsome in that uniform! He is all the boys can ever talk about "my daddy is a police". They are so proud of him too.

Lets see what have I done over these 10 years? Um, lets see, I didn't finish college because we moved away. I worked at a bank, (and joined the local gym with my friend from the bank, Jenni Jones..I miss those days girl!) I lost a lot of weight, and discovered that I LOVE to exercise. It is like an instant stress relief for me. I worked as a personal trainer, I worked at an apartment complex, I worked for a bank processing company, then quit my job when I had a baby and before he was 1 I was pregnant again with #2. I have been home with them ever since....just trying my best to be a good wife and mom...not real exciting...but I wouldn't trade our life together for anything.

What are we going to do to celebrate? Who knows! We haven't even talked about it. I just told him this year we will have to do better than taking the boys with us to Dairy Queen! haha (We were looking at houses last year on our anniversary, and stopped at the Dairy Queen for dinner afterwards, with both of the boys! Talk about Romantical! hahaha)

Ok, I have had my commercial break....now back to our regular scheduled programming! haha :)
Hi ya'll! I decided I better post some more pictures...so here ya go.
Playing chase....Seth barefoot as usual. He goes outside with shoes on, and then he always kicks them off and leaves them in the sandbox.
I snapped this one of the boys playing "chase".
Levi was playing on his swing set. They have been out there every evening, playing for hours.
They came running over, to "see their picture".
I couldn't resist taking this picture of my little Cowboy. And like always, his boots are on the wrong feet!
I had been taking their pictures, so Levi wanted to take one of me. he is actually getting really good with the camera.
Seth wanted to take pictures too, since Levi was. So I had to let him try....haha He got better, but I had to delete about 8 of them because it was of the floor or my foot, etc! :)
Seth did pretty good with this one.....
This is priceless! He uses his underwear as his police belt! haha Crazy kid!
My future policeman....and his baby brother who always has to be the bad guy....hey it is him or us! Someone is always be handcuffed and thrown in "the cage" as Levi says for "jail"! haha
Mommy and Seth: We just had our baths and were getting ready to watch a movie...
