Look Mom, No Training Wheels!

Today Levi asked his Daddy if he could take the training wheels off of his bike. He wants to be a big boy, and ride it without them. So Stephen took them off, and we held onto the back and ran all around the back yard with him. It didn't take him long though, and he was doing it all by himself! We help him get started, then we let go and he takes off on his own. He rides all over the back yard. He is doing really good! I am so proud of him!

Levi's 1st PeeWee T-Ball Game!

Levi had his first game yesterday. He played really well! They play 3 innings, and everyone gets to bat in each inning. There are no outs, and no score is kept. It is basically to teach them teamwork, and how to play the game. The Giants (Levi's team) were in the outfield first. He got to play the pitchers position in the first inning. Then he played 1st base in the second inning. In the final inning, he played short-stop. He did really good!

We were very proud of him.

Levi was starting to get tried, so he was squatted down here. This was the last inning.

Seth, at Levi's Game. He stood right beside me the whole time, leaning on me, pushing on me, etc. But at least I knew where he was the whole time, and didn't have to spend the entire game chasing him around.

Circus!

We took the boys to the Circus on Tuesday. It was a "surprise" for them. They didn't know where we were going, or what we were going to do. Boy were they HAPPY! They loved every moment of it. They sat still, and watched the entire show. During intermission we took them out, and let them have a pony ride. This just totally topped their night off. I think it was the highlight of the entire evening! haha See the pictures of our little cowboys below....

Circus!

Daddy walked beside Seth. He was so fascinated with everything, I didn't know if he would remember to hold on or not! haha It is hard to see them in this picture, with this other little boy and his Daddy in front of them, but at least we got a picture of him on his first pony ride. :)

Circus!

Levi was all "Cool" while riding...he was trying to not smile, because all of the people standing in line were talking about the "Real Cowboy" and how cute he was. He was happy as could be, and this was all he could talk about for the rest of the night.

Circus!

Levi, being a Cowboy! (All by himself!) Now he thinks he is a REAL Cowboy, and Needs a REAL Horse! Oh No, we have created a Monster! This is all he can talk about now.

Seth's 3rd Birthday Party

Seth had a Superman birthday party, and birthday cake. When the party started I handed the digital camera to Stephen, and my 35mm camera to my Mother. She took 1 1/2 rolls of pictures, but Stephen only took 6 pictures! haha He got sidetracked with opening toys and putting batteries in stuff. So he had a good excuse at least. But I don't have any digital pictures of Seth's birthday cake, or of him blowing out the candles. Oh well.

We all had a wonderful day. Even though Levi and I were sick. We both started getting sick on Thursday and are just now finally starting to feel a little better. But it was a wonderful day. The boys definitely were not ready for everyone to go home.

Seth is opening presents, and Levi showed me his Spiderman Ball. Levi and Seth won this with the tickets they got while playing games at an arcade place with Nana and Papa, back in Jan when they stayed with them. He has been telling me about this ball for months! When he had got home, he realized he didn't have it, and had to call Nana and Papa and beg them to find it for him. Nana and Papa eventually found it at their house, and called to tell him about it. He was ready to make the trip back to their house, just to go get this ball! haha He was so excited that they brought this to him.

Seth opening presents.....

Levi, changing into some of his NEW clothes. He got some new Spiderman clothes that he had to change into right away. He had so much fun.

Before the party he said "Mom, at Seth's birthday party last year, I got some presents too. Will I get some presents this time?" Needless to say, he was one very excited little boy!

Levi playing the harmonica...Granny, Papaw and Aunt Michelle got them a huge drum full of Musical Toys. Then Papa got them each a toy flute. So we were bombarded with "noise making" toys. Do they love us or hate us? That IS the question! haha Just kidding. The boys love the toys, and have been entertaining themselves for a change, so we are very happy with the results. :)

Seth, opening his presents....

Suits

Nana got the boys new Suits for Easter, and gave them to them at the Birthday Party. She also got them 2 dress shirts with ties, and got Seth some new Shoes. Levi loves the suit! Seth didn't want anything to do with it, until he saw Levi in his! haha :)

Isn't he handsome. Sorry the picture is hard to see, I forgot to turn the flash on. I will get more pictures of them in their suits at Easter though.

handsome boy

Levi in his new Suit. He loves it! He begs me to wear it everyday, but I wont let him becuase I don't want him to ruin it by playing in it. Since I wont let him wear the full suit, he begs and begs to at least wear one of his shirt/tie sets. (Nana got each of the boys two dress shirts with ties too). So today we went shopping, and he HAD to wear his shirt and tie. He did look really cute. He got all dressed up, and I said "Wow Levi!" He smiled and said "I look Sharp!" haha

We woke up to this!

They loved the new toys they got for Seth's Birthday. This is what we woke up to....

Today

Today we are having Seth's 3rd Birthday party. I will be sure and take lots of pictures! :)

I read this today, and just had to share this quote with ya'll. I loved it so much!
I'd say our friendship is the equivalent of a good marriage---when you JUST know you've found the right person for you. ---a "match made in Heaven". Some people you become friends with for a time...but then there are those who we bond with instantly and they become friends for life.

Isn't that beautiful?! I hope you are all blessed with that kind of a friendship in your life.
Have a wonderful day, and I will be posting pictures soon.
Love to you all,
Kandy

Thank You Jenni Jones!

My best friend in Oklahoma is Jenni Jones. We met when we worked together at a bank back in 1998, and quickly became best buds. We would meet at the gym and work out together before work. We would eat lunch together, have dinners together with our hubbies and then play board games or cards, go bowling, shopping, everything! Then Stephen got laid off, and we had to move away because of his new job. Over the years we have regularly stayed in touch, through letters, e-mails, and now our blogs (because we can share pictures of our families so easily).

She never ceases to surprise me! I went to get the mail, and low and behold, I had a package from "Jones" in Oklahoma. Well, I knew it had to be her. But what could she possibly be sending me? I open it up......and burst out laughing and smiling from ear to ear! It was this really cool t-shirt she had found at the Gap. On the front it said "I sweat..." and on the back it said "to squeeze into my teeny bikini". Talk about the perfect fit for me! Size wise, and meaning wise! That IS the only reason I love to sweat, so I can squeeze into my bikini's and my bathing suits for water skiing! haha :) Does she know me or what? FYI: She had gotten herself these shirts at the Gap and told me about it. She also had one that said "I run...." and then on the back "so I can eat more chocolate cake"! haha

God has blessed me with the most amazing friends. All I could think of when I got her letter and this shirt, was "Wow God, what can I ever do to re-pay her for her friendship?" and "Thank you Lord, for blessing me with such amazing friends".

I was having a really hard week, because I found out that my best friend here in TX will be moving multiple states away. Then when I got this package from Jenni, it totally lifted my spirits and reminded me that I may live far away from my best friends, but they are and always will be my best friends...no matter how many miles may separate us.

To Jen:
Thank you Jenni. You have blessed me, and lifted my spirits when God knew I needed it the most. I don't know what I would do without your friendship. We have been through so much together, and have always been there to lift and inspire each other. Especially when it comes to getting into shape, physically and spiritually. You say that I have motivated you and inspired you to get in shape physically, but you did the same for me. When I was pushing you to go workout and track your nutrition...I had to do it to. I couldn't tell you to do something I was unwilling to do myself. So you helped me to stay in shape as well. Plus you always inspire me to check my spiritual fitness level, and try to better myself in that area of life. I want to Thank you for listening to God's voice. I believe he knew I needed this "pick me up" this week, and used you to do that.
You know, a cool thing was that I had sent a Thank you Card and a Letter to my Grandmother this week. (Who I haven't seen or written to in WAY TO LONG!) I wanted to thank her for making the boys quilts for Christmas. I was so impressed to do something kind for her, and then God blessed me in return, 10 fold. Isn't He amazing?!
Jen, I pray that God will bless you in return, for you friendship and kindness. I was so surprised, and you totally made my day! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Words just don't do justice to how special you made me feel today!
(See the pictures of my New Favorite T-Shirt below).
Thank you Jen!!!!

Front of the Shirt says "I Sweat..."

The back of the shirt. It says "to squeeze into my teeny bikini". :)
