Workout Buddies!

I have a friend who called and asked me to help her get in shape to pass the PT Test. So of course, those of you who know me well, know that I was all over this! :) I love helping people discover just how strong they are, and learn to love exercising. This is one of my most passionate subjects.
Anyway, we decided to start meeting at the track 3 mornings a week, at 5:15am! I had to get up at 4:45am yesterday, to get dressed, teeth brushed, grab my stuff and go. We walked a lap, ran a lap, walked, ran, etc. Then we did lunges (carrying weights), and squats, and upper body work with our hand weights. Then we walked/ran another lap, and did pushups/crunches in the grass. We worked out for a full hour, but it seemed to fly by! It was so much fun!
But today...boy am I paying for it. I work out on a regular basis, but boy am I SORE today. I could barely sit down this morning! Ouch! But I love this feeling, because it means I had a GREAT workout! My friend said when she got out of bed this morning, she thought "Kandy's name is MUD!" haha But she said she is loosening up, and said this is her proof that she is doing a great workout. :) (yea, she doesn't hate me, and will continue to let me train her!! woo-hoo!)

Oh, and my new neighbor said she will start going with us also! Yippy!!!! The more the merrier! Then if for some reason one person can't make it, hopefully the other 2 can, so we should always have someone to workout with. :)

Can you tell that I LOVE this?!?!

New Hair!!! AGAIN!!! ha-ha

Ok, time to update you on the latest hair style and color! haha

After I did Venece's Pampered Chef Show yesterday, she highlighted and cut my hair. It is SO CUTE!!!! (and EASY!!) I LOVE IT!!!! She did a GREAT Job. It's now: Short and Sassy!
I walked in last night, and without even asking him...Stephen said "Wow, your hair looks Good!" :) yea!!!! Then I asked Levi if he liked it and he said yes, and then Seth said "I like your hair Mommy!" :) Yea!!!

Here is a picture Levi took: It really shows the highlights/cut well.

Side Views: you can see how short it is in the back. It is very stacked! She even shaved it a little back there. It is SO EASY to fix, and is SO CUTE!!!

Front view: I can either leave it down, or I can push it behind my ears, and it looks cute either way! yea!!! I am loving this cut! (and color!) It is so nice to have my blond highlights again. My dark color was already fading out...at least with blond, I only have to worry about roots...not fading. :)

Football Game

Last Night, on my way home, I picked up Pizza. Then we had a Football Game/Pizza night.
The boys had decorated the house for a Football party. there were balloons on everything, and a big sign that they had helped Daddy make, that said: Go Cowboys. they also had my Pampered Chef 3 tier Stand out, with bowls of chips and marshmallows! haha

ALL of the Boys all had on "Cowboys" caps. They looked so cute, I couldn't resist snapping a few picture's of them.

Levi is showing off his New Sketchers Flip Flops that Nana bought him. She got a steal on them at a clearance sale. He loves them! He says they are very soft to walk on. :)

Here, they are just acting crazy, and I think Daddy was getting mad at the Ref's on TV! haha :)

Crazy Week!

Oh, but I did manage to squeeze in some more of my Real Estate Appraiser Lessons. So I have completed one section now. I just started the second section. I am really enjoying the format of these online courses. It breaks it all down, and really makes sure you LEARN it! :) Yea!

Oh, and we made new friends! Some people moved into the house, down the road, directly behind us. They are the same age as us, and our kids are the same ages and will be in the same grades. We are all getting along great! It is so nice to have friends so close by, especially if something happens and one of us can't get our kids from school or something. She is also a stay at home mom, and our husbands are in the same profession. It is a total God-Send! I had just been thinking/praying while I was mowing a few weeks ago. "Lord, I have so many wonderful friends online, but I wish I had someone close by. It would be so amazing if one of my friends lived in that vacant house back behind us. Just to have someone so close that you could hang out with and call if you needed something". Well, low and behold, God knows the desires of our hearts...before we can even think or ask! :) Thank you Lord for giving us such wonderful friends (in person, and online!)
Love you all,
Kandy

Crazy Week!

Ok, last week was absolutely crazy. Stefanie and I were having a G-sale at her house on Friday, so the whole week was spent getting ready for that. Then I was at her house all day on Friday. But it was worth it. I made almost $300! Yea!!!

Then on Friday we had to send a note with how much Levi has sold in his fundraiser so far. Well, he had sold the most. So the Principal awarded him with a Tiger! He was so proud!
Daddy took his picture.

I got the superman costume at the g-sale. Stefanie's sister had 2 of them, identical, size 7/8, so I bought them! :) The boys told me they had a surprise for me when I called to tell them I was on my way home. So I told them I had a surprise for them too! They loved them, and wear them ALL the time...hey, at least they aren't just in their underwear now! haha

As for my surprise....It is so nice to be married to a handyman! Stephen had extra wood out in the shed. So he let Seth help him, and they made me a NEW shelf for our bathroom. It fits perfectly in between our counter and the bath, under the window. It is WONDERFUL!!!!

Now if I can just get this bathroom painted and get rid of this UGLY walpaper..... :)

Classes/Work

Ok, so Stephen is on call this week. He got called in this morning, and has been gone all day! :( But hopefully he will be getting home soon. He said he will hopefully be home in time for us all to watch the Cowboys game together tonight...and he said he would try to bring home some Pizza. Yea!!! Pizza and Football! :)

I finally got signed up for my online courses yesterday. I did 3 lessons yesterday, and then 2 today. Wow! Talk about a lot of info to learn and absorb. My head is spinning! Oh, and I only have 150+ lessons to go! haha It will be so worth it though. So I will try my hardest to learn everything I need to know (and memorize all of these technical definition's). I just pray that God will help me "learn" and "retain" what I am learning. I forgot how hard studying is! My poor brain is saying "what? you want me to do what?!" haha :) So ya'll say a prayer for me.

Happy Grandparents Day!!!

Happy Grandparents Day: Nana & Papa, and Granny & Papaw!!!!!

We love you all so much! Our children are so lucky to have such amazing grandparents, who are involved in their lives, and who love them so much. (Spoil them rotten is more like it! ha ha)

They are trying to be "cool" for the picture! :)

I hope you have a wonderful day, and know that your Grandsons are missing you terribly!
Love y'all,
Kandy

Wanna Play at the Park?

When we were camping, our site was right next to the park. The boys LOVED this! I think we spent almost the entire day Saturday, at the park. They had a blast!

Playing on the Merry-go-round...

Daddy and Toby, watching the boys play.

The boys got me to play chase with them. They were running away, and I would have to catch them, and then tickle them, and hold them upside down, etc. They loved this! haha

I caught him!

Levi was hiding from me!

But Seth ratted him out! haha

Ok, so maybe I was having as much fun as the kids! haha :)

Wanna Play at the Park? continued

Chasing after my "Gingerbread Boys". They were pretending to be "Gingerbread boys" and they were running away, and I had to chase them down and catch them. We had so much fun playing at the park.

As soon as I would catch them, and tickle them until they couldn't breath from laughing so hard, they would challenge me to get them again! haha

He's just begging me to chase him!

After I was worn out, Daddy and Papaw decided to entertain the boys on the slide.....

Daddy and Papaw were teaching the boys some "new" ways to go down the slide! haha

Crazy Papaw! The boys loved this one! Of course they wouldn't do it, they just liked watching Papaw do it! :)

After they all got tired of the slide, Levi got poor Toby on the merry go round. Toby didn't mind it one bit....oh, that thing makes me sick! I can't handle the merry go round....nothing "merry" to that sick feeling it gives me. :)

Levi and Seth had fun with my camera!

Levi and Seth were taking turns with my camera, on the way back from the Boat Dock. They got some "interesting" shots! haha :)

Is that Papaw? :)

Whatch doing Daddy?

Levi tried to take a picture of himself! haha At least he didn't have anything up his nose! :)

Hi Mom!

Working on the Truck

Sunday morning Stephen discovered that his water pump was leaking (or something like that). So Stephen, his Dad, and Levi ran to the Auto Parts Store that afternoon (while Seth took a nap, and I laid out in the sun reading a book).
That evening once it cooled off, they went to work and got it replaced. I took these pictures of the boys "helping"! :)

Tubeing

We took this tube out, and the very first trip, it started losing air REALLY Fast! So Stephen told us to stop, and him and Levi got out. We then went back and loaded the boat back up.

The next day, we pulled out the old single person tube. Stephen and his Dad had forgotten how much fun this tube was. They had a blast!

Papaw having fun....

Levi decided he liked it a lot too! :)

That's Levi way back there, all by himself, and his Daddy standing close watch, ready to jump in if need be. But Levi loved it! :)

Seth

My poor baby can't ever stay awake in the boat. We had just started, Daddy was the first one out on the tube. Seth sat there, and next thing I know, he's asleep!
I scooped him up, so he wouldn't fall over, and I held him for the rest of the time we were out there. He didn't wake up until we had the boat loaded back up on the trailer.
Something about the hum of the motor, and the rocking of the boat, puts this poor little boy to sleep everytime! :)

The Jones Family Came To See Us!

While we were camping, the Jones family was in town visiting family (less than 30 minutes away). So they came out to see us! Yea!!!! It was so GREAT to see them again. It was like old times, when we used to hang out together all the time. Of course, back then we didn't have kids to chase around! haha :)
This was the first time I had seen Brooklyn (in person), since she was just a little baby. It was the very first time I have ever met Grant. He is such a cutie pie!

Here's Jen, Brooklyn, and me all on the see-saw. We weighed more than Jen, so we had to push on the ground really hard to get her to come down! haha :)

Matt had to help us all get off, so we wouldn't whack the ground really hard and get hurt. Talk about a good workout though! Man that hurts your legs!

Matt looks like he is having fun on the merry go round with the kids huh! haha :)

Brooklyn, Grant, and Levi. Cheesing in front of our camper.
Aren't they cute?!
We had Matt take this picture of us, before the left. Jen looks amazing!
My hair looks horrible! We had forgotten to pack shampoo, so my hair was going on it's 3rd day. Yuk! Thank God it doesn't always look like this....and Stephen went and bought me some shampoo that afternoon! haha (Guess he couldn't stand to look at it anymore either!haha)
It was so Great to see you again Jen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to come out and see us. It was wonderful to have a chance to actually talk, in person, again.
Love you girl!

Happy Birthday to My Hubby!!!!!

Labor Day was my sweet hubby's birthday. We were camping at the lake, so it was a very relaxing day. You can see the boys, holding the cards behind their back...they were going to "surprise" Daddy, with his Birthday cards! :)

He used the birthday money that he received this year, and bought himself a New Toy! Yea! We are going to really enjoy this.
