update

By the way, I received my completion certificates in the mail. Then I had to send off for an Education Evaluation with the state. I got that back, filled out my application, mailed it to my new boss, and he then signed it and mailed it in to the state. So basically I am just waiting for them to review my application, do a background check on me, and then mail me my acceptance letter so that I can start working as a Trainee. Finally! :)

Attention Ladies!

I borrowed a book from the library titled: "The Science of Sexy" by Bradley Bayou. I highly recommend it! I don't know that I would buy it, but it is definitely worth checking out at the library.

It is all about how to figure out your personal "shape" and "style". Then you do your measurements, find your category on a color chart, then flip to those pages. He shows you how to accent your best features, how to balance yourself out, "what to wear" and "what NOT to wear" based on your personal size and shape.

It was so informative and I learned so much from reading this!

I always knew that I was just sort of straight (NO hourglass-tiny waist, here)....now I know it's true! I'm an "Average, Slender, Rectangle"! haha :) But luckily it tells me how to dress for my shape, to create the best silhouette..and at least make it look like I have a waist line. Haha! :)

This book is very informative and worth the read.

Oh, and Stephen came home last night and saw this book laying on the counter. he said "The Science of....What?!" I started laughing and said "yea". He was like "what is this for?" I said 'So I will know how to dress my shape, so that I wont always look like this", and I pointed to what I was wearing (jeans, and a baggy hooded sweatshirt that used to be his). To which he translated "Oh, you mean Frumpy!" haha I of course swatted him for that one. I told him that I don't want to be perceived as a frumpy, old, van driving, soccer mom or something. I want to look nice. But man, why can't we look cute and comfortable at the same time? They should really make "Cute" sweats or something for these cold rainy days when Mom's spend cleaning or doing laundry...I mean it is just totally unnatural to be dressed up ALL the time right. We have to be frumpy now and then, like on cleaning day! :) But I hate for him to always come home to a "frumpy" looking wife. So at least now I know how to dress, and how to buy the right type of clothes for my body shape and size...well, once I actually have money to buy clothes. haha :)

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL Day!

Stock Show

We took the boys over to the Stock Show. My cousin Taran was there, with her husband and their son Jared. Jared was showing a calf. So we went over and spent part of the day with them, and the other part of the day just roaming around the stockyards.

Here is Levi blow drying Jared's cow. They also let him brush the cow. Levi thought he was big stuff! :) It made his day. He is already begging us to let him show animals when he gets old enough.

Here are the boys at the petting zoo. They were able to feed the goats, and Llama's out of their hands. They had a blast.
Seth:

Levi (in the brown coat):

Then we went inside and got to look at the latest tractors, 4-wheelers, cars, western stuff, BBQ, etc. They had a little of everything in there. The boys loved trying out the tractors. :)

Oh and they also had Elsie the Milk Cow there, along with her baby. The baby loved sucking on Levi's strap on the front of his chaps (where they tie together)! haha. They made friends instantly. I didn't think we would ever get Levi out of there. :)

We had a wonderful day! Of course we wanted to stay for the Rodeo, but it has been sold out all day. Bummer! The boys were heartbroken. Seth wanted to see them bronco! haha So we promised we would take them to the Rodeo that is closer to where we live. Overall, it was a GREAT day!

Movie

Last week I borrowed a movie from the library and we watched it over the weekend. It was called "Miss Potter". Have you seen this?!? It was so good! It was about the life of Beatrix Potter. I was very impressed with it. It was a very good, heartwarming movie!

Basketball update

Saturday Levi had another basketball game....

We had taken them on Friday night to the movies to watch "The Pirates who don't do anything" (new veggie-tales movie). It was so cute! We loved it. But we didn't get home until around 10:20pm. Levi fell asleep on the way home, and wasn't acting like he felt real great. Then Saturday morning he woke up coughing and sniffing. Stephen gave him some medicine, but it was the kind that made him tired and sleepy. So when we went to his game, he was very drowsy and not really into it. He got to play some but then he fell down and skinned his knee and elbow and hit his head..he started crying but walked his way off of the court. He didn't want to play again after that because he said his knee hurt to bad. It was pretty bruised up. But anyway, it wasn't their best game. The coach's son was trying to play a one man game and never wanted to pass the ball. It was horrible. We ended up losing 8-6.

Kindergarten Basketball

Levi had his first basketball game on Saturday. He was so nervous! He is number 30, in the front of this line of kids. They were doing some drills to warm up before the game. It was so cute watching them play. They are all so little, and most of them have no clue what they are doing! haha But we WON! I think it was like 14-2 or 16-2. Our little ones did good! :)

Here you can see Levi playing guard. He was supposed to block anyone who comes toward the goal. He did pretty good.

We have 2 practices this week. The team we are supposed to play Saturday won their game also, and they had some pretty good players. So I guess coach is going to make sure our kids are ready for them....the game we won Saturday, the kids hadn't even had a practice since before Christmas break, so they did really good for not playing in so long also! Hopefully this Saturday they will play even better. :)
Here are the things I bought for our bathroom.

This is our hand-towel holder, between out sinks. Isn't it cute!

I found these little towel holders, for beside my huge corner tub.

Here you can see both of them, and where they are...you can also see the back of a little boy who was sitting on the edge of my tub begging me to take his picture instead! haha :)

Here is my awesome toilet paper holder/magazine rack! I love this! :)

Horse and Rider

I'm in LOVE with this store!!! (It's been about a year since I've been there, and I forgot how much I love that store).
I went there yesterday and I got an awesome toilet paper holder/magazine rack...it is so cool looking. Then I got towel holders also. I'll take some pictures of it and post them.

Not only did I find this stuff, but they had some super cute western pictures that I would like to get for the walls. They also have some Women's Rhinestone Western Belts, and they were all priced at $40! We were in Cavendars and I looked at one and then showed Stephen the price tag, it said $310! We quickly put that back! haha They had beautiful western style purses with the belt buckles/rhinestones on them, for like $30. I could have spent all day in that store! :) To bad I didn't have the money to buy everything I wanted. haha :) I'll have to give Stephen's some hints...maybe for Valentine's day or Mother's day.... :)

bathroom

Ok, here are some pictures of the new paint in our bathroom. I used a Granite paint. It is a creamy color with granite in it, and some sparkly flecks also. It has a rough rock like texture. I love it!

In this first pic, you can barely see some of the flecks picking up the light and sparkling. :) Oh, and a silly little boy who just had to be in the picture (take a pick-tur of me Mom!) :)

Here is a little closer up picture, don't know if you can see the texture/colors of the paint or not...

Here is the wall, over by the toilet...and again a little boy acting silly! haha :)

Now I just need to run to Horse and Rider and see if I can find some black or antique iron hooks for our towels and toilet paper. I was thinking stars or something rustic/western....I'll see what I can find and post pictures once I get it all up.... :)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Ok, I guess we are just getting old and boring. We didn't do anything on New Years Eve. Stephen had to work, so the boys and I went to the track and met Rajeana and her daughter there. We worked out, then went and bought groceries, and cooked dinner for Daddy. He didn't get home until after 8pm. So we ate, and then we were all in bed by 10pm! haha I guess we slept in the New Year! haha

On New Years, we got up around 7:45am. We had cereal for breakfast and then got to work. Stephen starting doing repairs around the house, and I started taking the Christmas stuff down. Around 10:15am my Daddy called, they were on their way home from OK, so I invited them to stop by. They said they would, and they got here around 11:30am. It was so great to see them, and spend some time visiting. Stephen was in town picking up some items to do repairs, so I had him stop by and pick us up some Pizza for lunch. Mom and Dad were able to stay and have lunch with us, before returning home. It was so nice to visit, and share a meal together.

After they left, I finished taking down Christmas stuff, cleaning, and decorating. Then I called Rajeana to see if she wanted to go workout, but she was still sleeping. So I ended up putting music on my New MP4 that Stephen's parents got me for Christmas. Then I started on dinner. After dinner I was working on Laundry and we started watching Biggest Loser. While watching this, Stephen had a great idea of combining the boys rooms, and putting their beds back together as bunks. So during commercials we worked on this. Today, I need to finish moving toys, toy box, TV, v-smile, etc to the New play room (Seth's old room)...and moving his clothes, dresser, bookshelf to their new room...and getting everything cleaned up and straightened out.

Oh, did I tell ya'll that our neighbors are moving? He didn't like his job here, so he took another job in the same city as his Dad (where he really wanted to work). So once they find a new home there, Janel and the kids will be moving up there. I hate that she will be moving...I'm losing one of my workout buddies! Rajeana and I are still working out, but we can't find anyone else crazy enough to workout with us...so it is just the two of us. But hey, come Spring and Summer, we will be LOOKING GOOD! :) Plus we feel great when we workout, so it is SO WORTH getting up at 4:20am and suffering through the cold weather. :)

Christmas at Granny and Papaw's

The night before we went to Granny and Papaw's, we were making Taco's. Here is Levi, browning the ground turkey. Isn't this a cute picture?

Once we got to Granny and Papaw's, the boys were ready to immediately open presents, so we did. Granny and Papaw had to open their present from Michelle first. She had gotten them a New Camera, just like mine, when we went shopping at the After Thanksgiving sales. :)

Aunt Michelle, opening gifts. I hope she loved her gifts as much as we love ours.

Papaw, figuring out their new camera. :)

Seth, opening presents...and looking mischievous, as usual.

Levi, cheesing!

Aunt Michelle had given me a new Chi Flat Iron! Talk about excited! I was about to jump up and down with joy!!! Mine has a short in the cord and I have to hold it just right, but I love it so much that I was still using it... :) Woo-Hoo!!!! Thank you Aunt Michelle!!!!! :)

Stephen opening gifts...he loved this new router...and his wireless headphones, and of course all of the clothes! He needed clothes for work so badly.

Seth is so proud of his new COWBOYS Football Bed! :)

Stephen was being crazy with my camera and I couldn't stop laughing!

Levi opened all of his presents first, so then he had to help Daddy open his.

Stephen, being crazy, and taking a picture of himself! hahah

I asked Michelle to take a pic of us together, and of course Stephen was being crazy, so I was cracking up! haha he is such a hoot!

Here is where we all spent most of our time. This is where Stephen and his Dad knocked out the wall at Thanksgiving. Doesn't it look great?! We could all actually cook in the kitchen at the same time, without running over each other. It was so nice!

The next morning, the boys woke up to this surprise waiting for them under the tree. They were so excited! Now they have something to cuddle with in bed, to keep them warm. I think Levi was still asleep in this pic, he had just woke up.
Thank you Granny, Papaw, and Aunt Michelle! We all loved the gifts, and especially the time spent together. Also Thank You for teaching me Pinochle. It was so fun learning and playing that game. We had a wonderful time.
Oh, and Papaw, Thank you for smoking the Ribs!!! You know I loved every bite!!!! :) haha

Playing at Granny and Papaw's

On Saturday we took the boys up to the park by Granny and Papaw's house. They had so much fun! Aunt Michelle went up there with us, and her and Stephen reminisced about going to school there, and playing on this exact playground. It was so fun to hear stories about them when they were kids.

Seth on the slide.

Daddy and Levi playing basketball, with a flat kickball! haha

The boys and I, climbing. We had one of these on our playground when I was growing up.

Stephen and the boys on the Merry Go Round. The boys were having a blast!

This was Levi's favorite part....shooting the BB Gun. He LOVED doing this!

He even learned proper ways to hold the gun, and always keep it pointed at the ground when carrying it.
