Easter Sunday

We took some pictures before heading off to church. My Dad was already at the church though...

Here are the boys, all dressed up for Easter Sunday. Aren't they cute! :)

Our little family....

I had asked Stephen to take a picture of me and Mom together, and of course the boys jumped in there also! haha :) They love having their picture taken.

So then Stephen had them move, so he could get one of just me and my Mommy. :)

Easter-Egg Hunt

Attendance was really down this Easter, for some odd reason. Normally there are tons of people and kids. So because of the normally larger crowd, they had hidden over 400 eggs...then less than a dozen kids got to find them all! Talk about excited kids! haha They were filling up their baskets and then dumping them out into plastic sacks, and filling them up again. Needless to say, we have way to much Easter candy! haha

And their Off! haha
Seth had this whole side all to himself for the longest time....

Finally Levi joined him over here, and Seth really got into hunting eggs then.

Levi was having a blast finding eggs!

Nana had to help Seth. His basket was full but he didn't want to un-load it..so he filled up her plastic sack instead! haha
Check out those bags FULL of eggs! Wow!
Is this one excited little boy or what?! :)

Saturday before Easter Fun!

The weekend of Easter we went to visit my parents. On that Saturday we took the boys to an Easter Egg hunt up at the Courthouse. They had a blast!
The boys were in two different age groups, on opposite sides of the building. So Stephen had my camera and took pictures of Levi hunting eggs, while Mom and I were with Seth and she took pictures of him with her camera.

After all of the Egg-hunting fun, we took the boys over to a Putt Putt place. We all had so much fun! I haven't done that in forever! Here are a few pictures...Levi was trying to play real golf at first I think. haha But then we reminded him to hit it softer and he did really good after that.

After all of this, we went inside and played games. The boys had over 1000 tickets I think, and got some really good stuff! This place wasn't chinchy like a lot of them are. They got a board game: Spinning Tops, 2 airplane/gun things, some army men, some candy, etc.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I was able to go on 3 appraisals this past weekend. It was so much fun, and I learned so much! I am totally loving this career. It is right up my alley. I get to play with numbers (sorry, my Mom is a CPA and loving numbers runs in my blood! haha), and I get to work mostly from home. It is the perfect fit for me (no office drama! woo-hoo!!!). I have now done my first 4 reports also, and though that haven't been "perfect" yet, I'm learning, and it is getting easier with each one. :)
Can you tell how much I am loving this?!?!
Oh, and I got my first paycheck Monday! I was ecstatic!!!! Well, until my Mom gave me a blow with the ole' Tax Hammer! haha She reminded me that I have to take out 30% for my taxes...that was a major bummer. haha But as Stephen said "Welcome back to the real working world!" haha
So life is going well. Staying busy, busy. Levi is in T-Ball now, and we have practice twice a week. Thankfully we are on Spring Break this week, so we get a little bit of a break.
Today we went to the park to play with friends, to burn up some of the boys energy. It rained all day yesterday, so we HAD to get out of the house today. :)
Tomorrow we are going to my parents house to visit for Easter. The boys are very excited about seeing Nana and Papa, and going to Papa's church.
Well, I better get. I still need to finish the laundry and pack. Just wanted ya'll to know we are still here, and doin fine. :)

Here is a video of Levi in his first musical at school. His grade was singing Rainbows Rock, while playing blow-up guitars. He is in the back, in the stripped shirt. I thought he did a great job! He is usually so bashful I was afraid he wouldn't do anything at all, in front of all of those people. But he did really good!

Appraisal Work

Saturday I got to go measure my first house! It was so amazing. I loved every minute of it. Ken observed, and showed me a lot of tricks for finding things to hook my tape on to, and also how to do angles and upstairs and stuff. I really learned a lot!

On Monday he faxed everything to me, and we trained over the phone/Internet on how to do reports. Then I was allowed to try to do the report on the house I measured. :) that was very interesting! haha

On Tuesday he called me and we went over my report, and he showed me the things that I did right, and a few things I could have done differently. After this, he helped me learn how to do my Sales Comparison and Cost Approaches, and how to finish the report. He is a really awesome teacher and makes everything very easy to learn. I think I am really going to love this new career!

Oh and I get to go measure more houses tomorrow! I'm so excited!!!! :)

Bad Word!

Ok, so I knew this day would eventually come...where the boys decide to repeat something they shouldn't......
We are sitting here Tuesday night, watching Biggest Loser. The boys are in the kitchen, eating ice cream, while we are glued to the TV (until commercials hit, and then we jump up and finish cleaning the kitchen up after dinner! haha).
So here we are watching...and they are doing a weigh in and Bernie says "Damn It". Stephen says "Bad Word!" (we always say this when we hear something on TV that we don't want the boys to repeat...this way they know what they can and can't say). So right after this finishes coming out of his mouth, you hear our sweet almost 4 year old say "Damn It!" just like Bernie did, and clear as a bell! YIKES! I mean the kid can't even say "Levi" clearly, he says Weevi...so how can he say this clear as a bell? It wasn't like you could mis-interpret what he said, anyone within hearing distance would have known EXACTLY what he said!
So here I am, shocked and trying not to laugh all at the same time...so luckily Stephen speaks up quickly and said "No Sir! We do not say that, that is a Bad word! Do you understand?" Then I finally found my voice and said "Seth, you don't hear Mommy and Daddy say that, so you don't say it either."
I still cant' quit thinking about it, and I hear his sweet little voice saying it over and over in my head...I just hope he has forgotten it, and doesn't decide to spout it out again...while at church, or at Nana and Papa's church, or school, in the store, or anything. Lord, I would be horrified!!!!! ha-ha
Just another one of the joys of young children! haha :)

Snow? in March!

This is what we woke up to this morning....Snow! In March! This is just crazy! We had 70 degree weather over the weekend, and snow today. It's just crazy. Of course we didn't get as much as those north of us did.

Levi was so excited last night when he went to bed, because it had just started snowing. So he woke up early this morning, and ran straight for the window. You should have seen the huge smile on his face! He begged to go out and play in it...and since we are supposed to be in the upper 50's today, we let him.
Him and Seth went out on the front porch and played in the snow, for about 5-10 minutes maybe. Then they were freezing, and came inside begging for hot chocolate! haha

Seth, outside in the snow...before the sun melts it all away....

Levi was so disappointed that he had to go to school today. He was wanting to stay home so he could enjoy the snow before it all melts away.

Seth's 4th Birthday Party

Here is our birthday boy....He is being "superman". We were dragging out the decorations, and he found the superman masks. He was having a blast! haha

Stephen sat up our bouncehouse for the boys to play in, while waiting on everyone to show up. Then Mom and I went to town to pick up the pizza's for lunch.

Here is our big boy! I can't believe he is going to be 4 years old!

Opening presents...with brother's help of course.
He got TONS of presents.

Opening more presents....they were loving this! :)

Seth is showing Uncle Chris (my brother) his new Superman action figure.

Seth has just finished opening all of the presents....he is looking exhausted! :)

But then we took him outside and showed him his big present from Granny and Papaw....he woke right up! :)

Seth and his cousin Samantha, playing in the bouncehouse.

My Daddy and my brother, sitting in the swing, enjoying the beautiful weather! It was in the mid 70's and beautiful outside!

At the end of the day, Levi crashed on the ottoman. He was exhausted, and still not feeling 100%...he had missed 3 days of school, because he had been sick...guess he wasn't totally over it yet.

Superman Birthday Cake

Saturday we celebrated Seth's 4th Birthday with our families. I didn't want to do the same ole' Superman cake from walmart, like we did last year. So I e-mailed a friend of mine, Riquel, who I knew went through some cake decorating classes. She has always wanted to open her own catering company, and she is an amazing cook! So I was really hoping that she would be willing to make some sort of Superman birthday cake for me. ***Plus she has been a huge blessing to my pampered chef business, so this was a way for me to return the favor! :)

When I told her I wanted a strawberry flavored superman cake, I never expected something this extravagant. This is AMAZING! Talk about artistic talent. I can't even draw superman on paper, much less with icing, on a cake! I was blown away! Also, notice his belt says "Seth". The birthday boy loved this! He was so excited!

Here he is blowing out his candle. He only wanted 1 candle. So that is what daddy gave him. (I think he didn't want to mess up his superman! haha)

Here he is, still staring at his beautiful cake!

Finally he let me cut it, so he could eat a piece. He was so excited when I pulled the first piece out, and he saw the strawberry flavored cake inside. (this is his favorite kind of cake!)

He was the first person to test it out. He never stopped to say a word, so we assumed it was a big hit, and all dug into it ourselves! :) It was very yummy!
Thank you Riquel!!!!!!!! :)
We all loved the cake! I'll be calling you again in August, to make Levi's birthday cake....if your interested. :)
