Six Flags!

Levi had earned a Six Flags Ticket through the school reading program. So we wanted to take the boys for their very first trip to Six Flags. We had everything planned, Stephen took a day off of work, and were going. Then a friend, who happened to get some Free Tickets but wasn't' going to use them all, gave us 3 FREE tickets! YEA!!!!! That was such an AMAZING BLESSING!!!!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!!!!!

We got there just a little bit before it opened. The very first ride we did was the Carousel. We love it! It was the biggest carousel the boys have ever seen!

Smile Daddy! :)

Then we took the boys over to the Kids area, and they had a blast riding some of the kiddie rides. Like these trucks and tea cups, etc.

When we got over to the Mine Trains, the MINI Mine Train wasn't opened yet, so we took the boys on the Runaway Mine Train. Yikes! Talk about being in for a HUGE surprise! hahaa Seth was telling me "I want off!" Then I told him it was more fun if you scream, and we were trying to see who could scream the loudest. haha Then right before it was over, he screamed "I shouldn't have listened to you!" hahaaaa After it was over they both said "I'm never doing that again! No More Roller coasters!" hahaaa But they did say it was fun, they just didn't want to do it again! LOL! So this was the biggest and baddest roller coaster we got them on all day....but only once! hahaa
Daddy, our pack-mule and map reader! :) Levi, being silly. (this was right after the Runaway Mine Train, see he doesn't look shaken up or anything.)
Seth and the Drink. They sold these huge cups for $12, and then gave you a wrist band. You got FREE refills all day, and then anytime you go back you can get refills for 99cents. It definitely paid for it's self. We got it filled at least 7 times! We were a thirsty bunch...of course it was 104 degrees outside!

The boys LOVED the Antique Cars! They drove these once, and no one was in line, so they let us go again. Then they begged to go back and do them again later, so we did. They loved getting to really drive! Seth said "Mommy, I can drive yours van now!" hahaaa
Seth, happy about driving!

Don't we all wish.....

Riding the boots! The boys loved these bouncing boots....
Walking up to the Roaring Rapids! The boys loved that ride! Levi got soaked and loved every minute of it!

Seth was so excited to see the Looney Toon Characters! Here he is with Wil-E-Coyote.
Levi and Seth with Sylvester.

The boys with both of them. Notice Seth eyeing Sylvester! haha :)
Around 2 o'clock, we went out to our car and got our ice-chest and walked over to the Picnic Area. We relaxed and had a very enjoyable picnic, where we mapped out what all we still wanted to do. Then we went back in. We enjoyed more rides, and also fit in a couple of shows. The boys really enjoyed the Gunfight show! Levi was all smiles at this one, and cracking up laughing! It was hilarious!
Enjoying the kiddie Swings. They rode these 3 or 4 times.
Then I asked Levi to go on the kiddie roller coaster with me. It was the Wil-E-Coyote Coaster. I said "Levi, can you be brave and go on it with me, Please?" He said "Ok, I don't know if I'll like it though". Well, after I got him on it once, he was hooked! We rode it twice in a row this time. Then went back later and he rode it with Daddy, and then then went back even later and he rode it with me again. It was his favorite ride of all!
Me and Levi in the very back...
Driving the trucks again....

You see this huge white area on the upper right of the picture? This is a huge wall of water, about to drench everyone on the bridge. Well, we only "thought" we were out of the splash zone. Stephen was standing behind me, and I was just snapping the photo, right as I hear him say in my ear, "We're gonna get wet!" and BOOOM, I was drenched from head to toe, and never saw it comin'. My camera was even soaked, but luckily it didn't hurt it. We were cracking up! The boys looked like they had been dunked in a pool, and the were laughing and saying "I'm soaked!" :)

Daddy and Levi, riding Levi's favorite Roller Coaster!
Levi looking hot, tired, and dirty! The shirt was white when the day started! Oh well, it will wash.

Waiting for a show to start...the glasses were already broken, but Seth was trying to put them on, and I don't know what Stephen was doing, but I thought this was hilarious! It looks like Seth broke the glasses, and Stephen is shocked! hahaa
My guys...lookin' cute!

Mommy and her boys. :)
Seth, taking a break.

The boys with Tweety Bird, and Granny! Look at Levi's eyes, it cracks me up! LOL!
The boys with Bugs and Babs...again, look at Levi's eyes! So Funny!!! LOL!!!
They were so excited to see "Flash", a real life super-hero! Wow! So he showed them how to pose like a Super-Hero, and they let Daddy take their picture! Priceless! :)

Me and Levi (you see his Batman cape?) then of course Seth in his Superman Cape. These were only $4! They were the best purchase ever! The boys haven't taken them off yet! haha
This is what you look like after 12 hours of Six Flags, and your 4th time on the same roller coaster! hahaaa :) Levi sure looks happy though, and that made the whole day worth it.
I don't kow what I was saying...but this is a hilarious picture. This is what a day a six flags does to you! hahaa

The last ride we went on was the Mini Mine Train for the 3rd or 4th time I think. After they opened it, and and went on, Levi decided he loved this one to. So we went on it over and over also. :) Seth went on it twice, but then he was done and didn't want to do it anymore.
We actually rode a lot of rides. Like the log ride, the indoor simulator, the Yosemite Sam indoor log ride, etc. I just didn't get pictures of all of them, due to trying to keep my camera dry. :)
After this last ride, we went to a show, there in the park. It was GREAT! It was acrobatics, and lasted until after the park closed at 10pm. So it was a long drive home, but it was all well worth it! The boys are already asking when we can go back! LOL! :)

This week...

This week has been an "adjustment" to having the boys back. Wow, you can really get used to the "peace and quiet" quickly. I think I've had a headache most of the week, from all the noise and their constant bickering. But it is nice to have them home.

After I get done working tomorrow, I will finally get to take Seth back to the doctor to have his stitches removed. Yea!!! I can't wait!!!!

Wonderful Week!

Our week without the boys was wonderful! We missed them, don't get me wrong, but this week was better than being Newlyweds again! ;)
We went to the movies twice during this week, and watched "Indiana Jones" (GREAT MOVIE!!) and then later in the week we went back and watched "Hancock" (ANOTHER GREAT MOVIE!!!!) Both of these movies were really really good! Or maybe it was just the fact that we went to the movies and watched something other than a cartoon! ha-ha
Our entire week was great! We really did have a lot of fun. By about Thursday I was starting to get a little bored, but I kept finding chores to do, and then finally just went shopping at the mall (after hours of shopping, I spent a total of $5! hahaa what can I say, I'm cheap! ha-ha)
Saturday was our last full day alone together. So I finished up my reports, and then we got all ready to go out. We drove through a place to wash my car, then we drove to a really awesome mall that's over an hour away. We shopped until we dropped! Yippy!!! :) Then we went to dinner at this awesome steak place.
We just had so much fun hanging out together, and really re-connecting this week. It was so much fun, that I hated it to end, but we were ready to see our boys again. We were both really starting to miss them...(they weren't missing us by any means though..they never even wanted to stop playing long enough to talk to us on the phone! hahaa)
Basically we celebrated our 12th Wedding Anniversary for the entire week, even though our actual anniversary isn't until the 27th. This was the best anniversary ever! :)

Week without the boys!

Sunday we met Granny and Papaw half way between here and there. They picked up the boys, and are keeping them for a week. We have talked to them a few times...the boys are having a blast, and wanting to just live with Granny and Papaw! haha Needless to say they aren't missing us at all.
We don't get time without the boys often, so we are really enjoying this week alone together...(we do miss them, but we are enjoying every moment of this week, and making the most of it). If you don't hear much from me this week, it's because I'm enjoying my time with my handsome hubby in the evenings, and during the day I'm working, finishing projects I've been wanting to get done, going to the gym, etc! :) Woo-Hoo!!!!! :)

Wednesday's Trauma....

About 6:30pm Wednesday evening, while we were at the lake, we had some Trauma. Levi had found a green glass beer bottle down at the lake, where him and his brother were playing in the sand. It was still whole, so he brought it up to his Daddy, so he could throw it away. Stephen told him to set it down and he would throw it away for him in a minute. (Stephen was painting a new clear coat on our water ski's). So Levi set it down on the concrete picnic table, unfortunately it rolled off, and broke. So Stephen told him to go on down to play, and he would clean it up. I was in the camper getting some tea, and when I started to come out, Stephen asked me to bring out the little dust pan/sweeper. I said Ok, and went back in to get it. Then I came out, right about the time the boys were coming back up from the sand. I didn't know there was any glass laying there by the picnic pavilion, or I would have stopped the boys. Right about the time I asked Stephen where the glass is, I hear Seth start crying..and my motherly instincts knew it was the "I'm hurt bad!" cry. I ran over, and saw a ton of blood gushing from a long dark line on the bottom of his foot. I said "Stephen! He's cut, BAD", as I scooped him up and ran over the set down with him in a lawn chair so we could look at it. It was gushing, and I was covered in blood and so was he. Stephen had his hand wrapped around his ankle, tight, to cut off the blood flow some. Then he asked me to hold it, while he ran to the van to get his medic kit out. I sat there holding Seth's ankle tight, waiting. Then Stephen got back, and said we needed to wash some of the blood off first. So he moved me over the another chair, close to our outside shower. I was sitting there feeling sick and woozy, and then I said "Coomer, things are going black!" He said "don't you dare pass out on me! Breath through your nose and out your mouth". I said "I'm trying" and the next thing I know I'm waking up....He said right about that time he had his back to me, and he heard a knocking sound. He turned around and Seth's foot was dropped down, and he was hanging onto me, and I was in convulsions. He said he grabbed my chair to keep us from falling over, and held Seth's foot up and was talking to me to try and get me to come around. Finally I remember a roaring in my ears, and waking up thinking "what happened?" Then Stephen filled me in. He said "are you ok now?" I said "yea, I think so." So I held Seth's ankle again, while Stephen called to find out if we could get into the Emergency care clinic. He washed the blood off of me and Seth, bandaged Seth's foot, and then we climbed in the van and drove to the clinic. I held Seth the whole way there, with his foot above his heart. Once we got there, they got us in pretty quickly. The doctor put 7 double stitches in Seth's foot. It was a DEEP cut, about 2 1/2 inches across the bottom of his foot. The doctor said it was the worst glass cut on the foot that he had ever seen. We had to go get some antibiotic and some Tylenol with codeine for Seth, at the pharmacy, and some bandage materials, since we have to change the bandage twice a day and keep it clean. We finally got back out to the camper right before the closing time at the gate. I felt horrible and sick..I was beating myself up all night for not being strong for my baby, when he needed me. Instead his momma ends up passing out when he needs her most. I hated myself for that! The rest of the trip was still fun. Thursday we took it easy, and played inside most of the day and took a nap too. Then on Friday night, Stephen had to work and I had to take Seth back to the clinic for them to check the stitches and make sure that there wasn't any infection. Luckily everything looked great and they said he was healing well. We have to keep it clean, keep a sock over the bandages, and then in two weeks we go back to have the stitches removed. The nurse said "it's a good thing he isn't any bigger, or you wouldn't be able to carry him around. Your so petite and tiny, and he's almost as big as you are!" haha But hey, us mother's will do what we need to do. Thank God I lift weights on a regular basis and was able to carry him everywhere. Anyway after the appt, I took the boys to the movies to watch Kung Fu Panda. They loved it! It was so fun watching them laugh so hard! After this we went out to the street dance that Stephen was working, and were able to visit with a lot of friends from our old church, and of course some of the people Stephen works with. They also had free pony rides for the kids, so the boys loved that, and they had a bounce house that Levi got to play in. It really was a lot of fun, but my arms were dead by the time we left and got back to the camper.

Here is Seth when we got back from the Clinic. He was sitting on the couch, playing with all of his transformers.

Stephen, cleaning up Seth's foot and putting a fresh bandage on it.

Here are some pictures of the stitches. He actually has two long cuts across his foot. The top one was the deep on that had to have stitches, the bottom one wasn't deep..thank goodness!

Daddy is so good at bandaging! Thank God for him, or my poor child would have bled to death! I'm no good with trauma...obviously!

The next day, playing transformers.

Stephen snapped this picture of me and Seth sitting outside having lunch on Friday. :)

My little sweety pie, so proud of his transformers!

Here's my handsome, wonderful husband, running back up from the beach with Toby.

A Week of Camping!

Stephen took off of work last week, and we went camping out at the lake for the whole week. We had a great trip. Our luck wasn't so great and we had some trauma strike, but we did have fun and relaxed some. Things kept breaking, and it seemed like Stephen spent most of the time working on stuff. But overall it was a great trip.

This is one of my favorite pictures...Seth, watching the beautiful sunset. :)

We went on nightly boat rides, to watch the sun set. It was so beautiful!

The discoveries of little boys. They were outside playing, and came in yelling "Mom, we found a head!" I was like "What?!" Sure enough, they had found a Ken Doll Head! hahaaa Guess some upset girl decapitated him! hahaaa

Seth and I swimming, after we finished tubing.

I love being in the water. Summer time and swimming is one of my favorite things!

Stephen and the boys collecting shells.

Seth, looking for shells and playing in the sand. Isn't he a cutie pie!

After I took his picture, he begged for my camera to take my picture, so I let him.

Daddy, working on the boat....

The boys, playing with the tube. They had a blast hiding under it! haha

Levi tubing, and Toby just wishing he was out there with them!
