Levi's first day of school...and Seth's first day of Pre-K!

On Levi's first day of school, Seth and I made cookies. We wanted them to be ready, so he could have a snack as soon as he got home and could tell us about his day. He really had a fun day. He said he liked his teacher. His words were "she looks mean, but she's actually really nice". :)

Here is Seth, helping me bake. He is such a cutie!

Since Seth couldn't get into the school's pre-k program, we entered him into a private school pre-k. It's expensive, but hopefully I'll be able to work a lot more during the week now. (Ya'll say a prayer that I'll get lots of work each week! Please!!!)
He was very nervous about his first day. He's never been without us or Levi, so this was huge for him. He did good, and seemed to really enjoy his first day. When he got home the first thing he said was "Mom, I got to paint!" and showed me his picture. The second day, he cried, and didn't want to go. Then today he was excited about going again, but cried when Daddy dropped him off. They said it usually takes kids about 2 weeks to get used to the new routine. I hope he does, because it breaks my heart to think that he isn't happy. (but when I went to pick him up yesterday he didn't even want to leave! the little toot. Once he gets there, he has a blast.)

All buckled in, and ready to go to his first day of Pre-K! My baby boy is growing up.....sniff, sniff....Mommy isn't ready for that!

Biggest Loser!

I just saw an advertisement on TV. Biggest Loser is starting again on September 16th! Woo-Hoo!!!! I LOVE that show! It is so inspirational, and motivational! I love seeing these people realize "I can do this!" and see the transformation as they learn to take control over their lives and get healthy. I can't wait!!! :)

Birthday

For those of you who do not know, Levi was born ON my birthday. It is fun to share our special day together...and let's face it, at least he can never forget his mother's birthday! haha

This year, Daddy was out of town for work, so we went to visit my parents. On our actual birthday, My Dad took the boys to the zoo, while My Mom and I went to buy Levi's birthday presents and party supplies. After we did this, my Mom took me to get manicure/pedicure's. We had so much fun! It was so nice and relaxing and they did a GREAT job on our white tips! I love it! Even a week later, it still looks perfect! Yea!!! :)
Mom and I had so much fun, spending the day together ON my birthday. After our pedicures/manicures, we went to lunch at Red Lobster! YUM! (we both love it, but our hubbies don't, so it was fun to go together). Then we went to Dillards and did some shopping. She bought me some clothes for my birthday also, and I LOVE them!
After all of this, we rushed home, thinking Papa and the boys would already be there and ready to start Levi's birthday party. But they weren't there yet, and we had just enough time to get the presents wrapped, cake decorated, and everything set out before they got there. Levi was so excited!!!
Papa had to stop by walmart, and he had gotten this pirate set for Seth. Seth loves it!
Here is the birthday boy, all excited! Oh, and the cake is pink because he LOVES strawberry cake and icing. Plus he said this was he gets a Transformer cake, and mom gets a princess/girly cake, all in one! LOL!
Here is my birthday boy, ready to blow out all 6 of his candles!
Seth, trying on Levi's Transformer Voice Changer Helmet. They about wore this thing out! LOL! They really had a lot of fun, and of course the didn't want to come home the next day, but we had to pick Daddy up from the airport. So once we got there, they were excited to see Daddy again.
Thank you Mom and Dad, for letting us come visit (and taking off of work to spend the days with us), and for such an amazing Birthday! We love you Both!!!!!

First Day, of 1st Grade!

Levi was super excited about starting 1st Grade.
He was bummed that he didn't have his Kindergarten teacher again this year (she has switched to 1st grade). But he is in the same class as his best friend from last year, so he is excited about that. Hopefully he will like his teacher, and have lots of fun today.

As for Seth, he didn't get into the Pre-K program. They were full with kids who qualified (low income, non-english speaking, or homeless), and there was no room for paying students. We were so bummed. So we are checking into private pre-k. It is just way more expensive! Yikes! I'm praying that maybe they will let paying students start pre-k after the first 6 weeks, like they did last year. That would be a major blessing!

Our FIRST day of Vacation...

We got to the Gazebo first, so we worked on unloading our stuff and getting things set up. After we finished all of this, and were waiting on everyone else to get there, we decided to take some pictures.

Here are the boys, in the loft of our bedroom.
Levi: Aye Aye Captain!
Seth: Who Me?!

Seth was trying to take my picture, so I had to bend over to get in the shot! haha Levi is looking out our sliding glass doors at the lake.

Levi took a picture of Daddy, Mommy, and Seth.

Stephen took one of me, standing out on the walk way.

The boys couldn't wait to start fishing, so we got their stuff out, and let them. They had a blast!

Then it started to rain! We got a major downpour! You can see the huge water drops in this picture. So we quickly put things up and ran inside, before we all got drenched.

Finally Aunt Michelle, Granny, and Papaw all got there. The boys were so excited to see them!
Smile Aunt Michelle! We all LOVED this super comfy chair...I think most of us ended up taking naps in it from time to time.

Aunt Michelle brought the boys some awesome school supplies. Seth's was all Hulk stuff, and Levi's was all Batman. Boy were they excited! She made their day!

Day two of vacation....

So this is what I look like first thing in the morning; drinking coffee, checking my e-mails! haha

We decided to all go swimming..the water is so nice and clear! I love swimming in this lake!

Levi's blow up boat had a blow out. The bottom came out of it. He was sad, but Papa was happy! He could now float in Levi's boat! haha That made Levi laugh, and he enjoyed playing in it again (or watching us float in it). :)

We are trying to get Levi to wave at Daddy, but he was to busy swimming! LOL!

The boys loved jumping off of the Ladder, and having Papaw catch them. Poor Papaw. He was getting drowned with all of the water they were splashing up in his face.

See.... HAHA! Even Aunt Michelle was holding her nose, because of all of the flying water! LOL!

What?!

So then Papaw decided he would jump on them! LOL! This is a hilarious Picture! I love it!!! :) Papaw is such a kid at heart! Like father, like son, like grandsons!

Dad! I think I caught something....

Hey, we can't fillet that! I thought we were fishing for "fish" not furniture! LOL!!! :)
(This chair had been floating in the water ever since we had arrived...but leave it my boys to hook it and fish it out).

Vacation Week: Wednesday, Birthday Party Day for Levi

This is a picture inside our room at the gazebo. It had a spiral staircase, going upstairs to a loft that had a closet and a queen size bed. Seth claimed the loft as his room, and that is where he slept.

Look at this happy birthday boy! He had a Batman birthday cake, and he was super excited!

Boy it sure is hard to watch your brother have a birthday....

Blowing out our "redneck" candle. I forgot to buy candles, so Stephen and his dad rolled up some cardboard, and napkins, and made a candle! hahaa

Is that Batman or the birthday boy?! :)

This was one of the presents Levi got for his birthday. Of course we had to try it out to! haha Seth found this spiderman kickboard out in the reeds! haha
I love these pictures...Stephen getting out of the little boat, onto the big boat...
Stephen losing his footing on the big boat, and plunging into the water....
coming up laughing! haha
Feeding the geese...

Me, watching the boys feed the geese...
Seth, shocked that he dropped his large piece of bread, and the geese gobbled it up! LOL!
Stephen laughing at the boys!
Levi, finally trying out his new row-boat.
Dressed up in his pajamas, is that Seth or Batman?! To Cute!

Vacation Week: Thursday and Friday...

I'm just now catching up on updating the blog. been visiting my parents, for my birthday. So, I'll update some as I can, and eventually get caught up, hopefully. :)

This was last Thursday and Friday, while we were on vacation. Thursday morning we had Stephen's grandfather's funeral. We came straight back to the lake afterwards, and the boys were ready to have some fun. (They were great during the funeral, nice and quiet, polite and respectful. I was proud of them).
Anyway, after we got back they fed the Geese with Granny. They loved this!

Can we say, like father like son??! haha

That afternoon Seth tried to ski. He would pop right up, but he had a harder time keeping his balance. But I was so proud of him, because he wasn't scared, and at least kept trying.

Here is Seth and Daddy, getting ready to ski.

Here he goes! As I said, he pops right up, but would then fall over after a few seconds. He'll get it eventually though. :)

Daddy and Levi in the Tube. Levi was having a blast, being crazy with his Daddy.

While Dad and Levi were in the Tube, Seth was getting bored! ha!

Being CA-RAAA-ZY! LOL!

Giving each other Hi-Five!

Here is a picture of our home for that week. We were in the center Gazebo. There were 3 other villa's, on the sides of the Gazebo. It all floats on the water, and is so nice and relaxing!

That evening we took the boys on a hike, to try and wear them out some. They had so much fun! We even got rained on. It was a nice and steady, slow rain, and was very enjoyable.
