Boys and hair....

This weekend, our friend Venece came over to do my hair. Thank You Lord!!!! I was in MAJOR need of a cut and color. Ok, I was beyond need...it was bad. It had been about 4 months since I'd had it cut or colored, so the roots were horrible. She did a GREAT job on it. It is SUPER CUTE!!! She put 3 different colors in it. Blond, a reddish blond color, and then a deep copper/brown color. It is so pretty! I love it. Then she trimmed it up for me, and put some shape in it with long layers. I LOVE IT!!!!!! Thank you Neece!!!! (I'll try to post some pictures of it soon...) It's funny how a simple thing like getting your hair done can make you look and feel so much better. I owe her big time!!!!

In other news....the boys are going to visit my parents for about a week. Woo-Hoo!!!! This Momma and Daddy get some free time (and I can work! LOL!). After we get them back, we will only have them a few days, then Stephen's parents and sister will be coming down and we will all be going to Six Flags together. When they go back home, they will be taking the boys with them, and keeping them for about a week and a half! Woo-Hoo!!!! Stephen and I are going to have most of July to ourselves. Wow! Of course, I'll be working a lot during this time, while we have "no kids" around. But it's going to be so nice to just relax and be able to enjoy each others company for a little while, when we are off of work. :) Plus July 27th is our 13th Anniversary. So basically we are getting a great anniversary present from our parents...time together, to reconnect, without the kids. I'm already looking forward to having a few date nights, maybe even catching a movie (that isn't a cartoon). LOL! (Thank you Nana and Papa, and Granny and Papaw!!!!! We Love Yall!!!!)

Tooth Fairy came for a visit...

Levi was so excited when he woke up Tuesday morning, and found a Gold Dollar Coin under his pillow. :) He came running, so excited to show us.

On Monday I had worked, and then after I had gotten home, Stephen needed to run to the store. So we got ready and went to town. While there, we had to stop and by Levi some new shoes, because he has outgrown all of his running shoes. So we went to buy some while in town. Then we went out to dinner, and took the boys to the local theatre and watched "UP". It was past the start time, and we were the only people in that movie, so I went to find someone and let them know that our movie was supposed to start at 8:45 and it was now 9:10 and no movie...so they apologized and said they would check on that, and get it started for us. Then after it had started, either a manager or maybe she was the owner, came in and apologized again and gave us 5 FREE Movie PASSES. WOW!!!! We were floored. So we told her thank you for her kindness and generosity, and then we sat back and enjoyed the movie. It was SO CUTE! We loved it as much as the boys did! :)

Since Monday things have been busy. Just trying to get caught up on stuff here around the house. And Stephen started a new shift at work this week...so our schedules have totally changed. He is back on 12 hour shifts again. So far we are adjusting ok. It's just lonely on those days when he is gone so long. But I do like this swing-shift better than the 12 hour shifts he has worked in the past.

Tooth Fairy....

Levi lost his FIRST tooth today. He even pulled it himself. I noticed yesterday that the new one was coming in right behind it, so he started really working on wiggling the baby tooth, and actually got it out all by himself today. Way to go Levi!!!! (He can't wait for the Tooth Fairy to come tonight! LOL!)

Busy weekend...

This past weekend I took the boys to my Nanny's house. We were able to visit for a little while, and we spent the night. The next morning my dad, my brother, one of my brothers friends, Stephen, and I all started working on replacing the metal roof on her barn the next morning. We worked on this pretty much all day. Plus I tried to keep her house as clean as possible, with us all going in/out and eating lunch, etc.
After my Nanny got home from work, and my Mom made it up there, we all ate dinner together. Then we headed home.
We had to get the house and spare bedroom ready for Stephen's parents, who were coming to visit for the weekend. Stephen's dad helped him re-build the tractor, and it is running great now! Yea!!!!
It was a really nice weekend, even though it was busy. It's always such a blessing to be able to spend time with our families.

Jenni came to visit...

While Jen and I did Cardio X (you'll have to read about all of that on my fitness blog), Levi was taking pictures with my camera. Here are a few he took....

Seth and Grant playing. :)

Brooklyn, looking cute as always.

Jenni and I had finished our workout, and while getting a drink of water, we started talking about our Pampered Chef products. Levi took our picture, while saying "can we swim now?" LOL! So we ran to change, and get these patient children into the pool.

Boy were they happy to finally be swimming.

They all jumped in the boat, and we took their picture. Too Cute!
Grant was cutting his eyes over at me, so I snapped his picture. Isn't that little face adorable?! Jen's swimming suit was super cute. I think this is the new one she just ordered from Athleta. It looked really good on her!

The kids had a blast playing in the boys clubhouse.

We all had a great time together. We can't wait to get together again. The boys keep asking me "when are our friends going to come over again?" :)
Getting together reminded me of way back, before we had kids, when Jen and I worked together. We used to meet at the local gym early in the mornings and workout, then see each other at work, and then we would even go to lunch together sometimes, and we would make the hubbys get together with us to game night. We all had so much fun together. It made me realize how much I miss them. At least we are able to stay in touch though, and visit from time to time.

Coming Soon....

Jenni came to visit yesterday!!!!! We had so much fun, and I have pictures to post...but I've been working all day, trying to catch up on my reports. I'll try to post soon.
Let me just say that Jen looks AaaaMazIng!!!! I've never seen her so thin and muscular. I swear we looked like we were the exact same size, except that I'm afraid her bicep muscles were bigger! LOL! :) I promise I'll tell y'all all about our wonderful visit soon...when I have more time to sit down and type it all up, and post pictures. :)

Awards Assembly...

I just got back from Levi's Awards Assembly at school.
Sure I probably should have been here at home working on my two reports that I need to type up, but these 'little things' are so important. Boy am I glad I went to. I was a few minutes late, and I found Levi immediately. He didn't see me though, and spent most of the time worriedly looking around for me. Finally on his way back to his seat from getting his 3rd award, he saw me, and boy you should have seen his face light up! Smiling from ear to ear! :)
He got 4 awards: 1 for perfect attendance for this 6 weeks, one for straight A's for this 6 weeks, one for being "student of the week" during this 6 weeks, and one for having straight A's for the WHOLE YEAR! Woo-hoo!!!!! :) He was smiling so huge! It was totally worth the hour and a half out of my busy day, to see that smile brighten up his little face.

Weekend...

This past weekend, we took the boys to the Rainforest Cafe. It was a special treat for Levi, because he had been on "white" all week at school (which means he didn't pull a color card for "talking").

Daddy and Levi, having fun! :)

Seth with his little "Tree Frog" toy.
While we were eating, a man came by our table, making balloon animals for all the kids. So he asked Levi what he wanted, and gave him some options, and Levi decided to get the Parrot. The man even showed us how to stick it on Levi's shirt so it would stay on his shoulder. Levi LOVED this!

Seth's turn came around and he said "I want a Tree Frog" (to which Stephen was thinking "he can't do a tree frog.) But sure enough the man said OK and did a tree frog. It was so cute. But of course Seth had to have it on his shoulder just like brother. So there it is. LOL!

Our garden is doing pretty well....can't wait to start getting fresh veggies.
Here are my bell peppers:

and here are some of my tomatoes! YUMMMEEE!!! Can't wait for these to get ripe.
Other than that, the boys have been in the pool practically everyday.
Oh, and this is Levi's last week of school. He goes all day today, and then they let out early tomorrow and Thursday. Thursday will be the last day of school. He is super excited! (So is Seth! LOL!)
