Fun Day

Yesterday after church we came home, grilled steaks, whipped up a salad with fresh cherry tomatoes and bell peppers from our garden (which is still producing, due to our warm sunny weather lately). It was delish!
Then we took the boys to the Movies. They had been begging to watch "A Christmas Carol". It was rated PG, and is a cartoon, so we didn't think twice about it. Well, let me tell you..it's NOT kid friendly. They were scared to death, and hiding their eyes through most of it. The ghosts are very graphic, and even made me jump a few times. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with this movie.
So after it was finally over, we took the boys over to Bass Pro. (this helped tremendously, to get their little minds off of that "ugly movie" as they said). Well, wouldn't you know it, SANTA was there!!!!! So they got to visit with Santa, tell him what they would like for Christmas, and get a free photo! It was the Highlight of the evening!
It was pouring down rain when we left...which the kids loved running through the rain to get to the car.
We stopped and picked up some pizza on the way home. Then when we got home, we watched the Cowboys game (which I had recorded for us). It was a WONDERFUL Family Day (just don't take little kids to watch "A Christmas Carol", unless you want them to have nightmares. Let them watch the older Mickey Mouse Version instead).

Levi's Stay in the Hospital

Last Monday, Stephen took Levi to the Doctor because he had a cough, and started running a fever on Sunday and still had it on Monday. The doctor sent him for X-rays and then said that he had pneumonia and his oxygen levels were low and he needed to be hospitalized for over-night observation.
So he got all checked in, and they put him on Oxygen. They also did breathing treatments.
Here he is with the Oxygen....

They had to put an IV in his arm, so they could feed him Antibiotics through it. He was NOT happy about that. Stephen and three nurses had to hold him down, to get it in.
After it was all over, they gave him ice-cream to try and make up to him. He ate it, but he wasn't talking to them anymore.

My Dad had been up in Oklahoma working on the farm, so he came by to see us on his way home. He even played a game with Levi. Levi was thrilled to see him.

Our Pastor came to visit us also. It was such a blessing to have so many wonderful people praying for our little man.
Thank you all ,who encouraged us, and prayed for us during this.

They sent him home on Tuesday. He had to stay home, take antibiotics, and breathing treatments every four hours. I took him for a follow up on Thursday. He is doing much better. That right lung still has a little bit of stuff in it, but sounds much better. He was allowed to go to school on Friday, just no sports or P.E. for a full week.

Granny sent him a fruit basket, with a 'get well soon' balloon, on Wednesday. Levi was thrilled! It had grapes, apples, bananas, granola bars, cheeze its, fruit roll ups, crackers, cookies, etc. He thought he had hit the jack-pot! LOL! Thank you Granny! You made his day.

Halloween

The boys had a great Halloween. I took them to our town's fall fest, and they got tons of candy and got to play in the bounce houses. Plus we got to meet Daddy and have dinner with him while we were in town, so they LOVED it!
Then on Halloween day, Seth had basketball practice. After practice I took them to our church's fall festival. They got to play a lot of games, win candy and prizes, play in another bounce house, and do things like "cake walk" "jump rope contest" and "hoola-hoop contest". Levi was thrilled to learn that there was a hoola-hoop contest. He jumped in there, and WON!!! He went longer than anyone else, and earned a prize. He was on cloud nine! LOL!
