Memorial Day Weekend: Saturday

On Saturday we relaxed and had a great time. We had no itinerary...just do what you want, when you want. Of course with our two boys, they wanted to go/go/go all day long. but we did get some relaxing in to.

We let them ride in the tube together, just the two of them, on our way back to our campsite. They had so much fun!

After we got back, they decided to fill the water gun. Seth was chasing Levi, and spraying us all...Levi found himself a shield though, and then the war was on! haha

They had a blast!

Memorial Day Weekend: Friday

On Friday morning we got up early and made the trip to where Stephen's family lives. We got there, and got everything set up about the time his Dad got back to their campsite with the boat.

Papaw also got the boys some kid's learning water ski's. They are awesome! Unfortunately it was way to windy, and the water was extremely rough and white-capped, so we didn't let the boys try skiing yet. We didn't ski either. We did tube one day though.


Oh, and he also had some fishing poles for the boys. They were thrilled! They immediately went down to the water, and starting "fishing" (with no hook! haha)

Later that afternoon, we took the boys to the playground. They rode their bicycles, and I just chased after Seth, and trying to keep him on the road and out of any traffic. Isn't he a cutie pie!

After all of that playing, Seth had to have a snack of cookies and milk. :)

Swimming

Our boys have been in the pool everyday since Sunday. It isn't all that warm yet. The water is in the 70's...but it has been in the 90's all week, so it is warming up quickly. They have been having a BLAST!



Who knew the stairs could substitute as a "peeing platform"! haha Seth had to go, and then his brother had to go...hey, at least they aint peein' in the pool! :)

Oops..got sidetracked there...just can't say that word without singing in the song in my head! haha :) Guess that comes from being raised there, and always having to sing that song in school. It is a catchy little tune though.....
Oops, ok, back to my story again!
We are going up "there" tomorrow to go camping over Memorial Day Weekend with Stephen's family. Levi is out of school Friday and Monday, so we get 4 whole days! I'm so excited! It is going to be so nice to be camping out at the lake, relaxing, again. Yea!!!! I've just about got everything packed and ready. I've been so busy this week getting the lawn mowed, the camper washed, the truck washed, the pool cleaned, the house cleaned, the shopping done, the truck filled with diesel (don't even get me started on the rising cost of diesel....arrghh! that just irks me to no end!)...and now I'm packing the camper. I want to have everything ready to go, so that we can just get up in the morning, get ready, and leave. :) That's the plan anyway...haha So, we'll see......
I'm sure I'll be posting pictures of our camping trip, and will tell ya'll all about it. I can't wait....of course I'm praying we have good weather. In our past years of camping there over memorial day we have had bad stormy weather...once we even had 80+ mph straight line winds and had to make a run for it to his parents house which was thankfully nearby...we had to drive the boat to the loading dock in the storm, with lightening, and we just knew we were either going to be struck, or die in a tornado! haha Oklahoma weather, gotta love it! haha :)

Happy Birthday Mom!!!!

Ok, I'm a few days late with this post. My Mommy's Birthday was actually on May 20th, but it's the thought that counts right?! :)

We actually went and spent this past weekend with my parents, while Daddy (Stephen) was "working" (the kids think he was working, he was really on a "guys" camping trip..and they would have been heartbroken to think he went camping without them...considering they are boys too! haha)

We had a great weekend. My parents celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Sunday!!!! Yea!!!! Congratulations Mom and Dad!!!!! You are an inspiration to us! I'm so proud of you both! You know, I just realized that I'm a horrible daughter, I didn't even think to take their picture together, on their anniversary. 35 years is such an accomplishment, especially in this day and age...I can't believe I didn't think to take some photos of them....I'm such a slacker. Forgive me please! :(

Anyway...back to my story....I got there on Friday night, and did a Pampered Chef Cooking show for one of the ladies from Mom and Dad's church. She had a GREAT show! It was so fun, and was actually the very first show of mine, that my mother has been able to come to. I must admit I was a little nervous, since she was there watching me. You know how it is, you always want to make your parents proud, even when you are all grown up...so I hope she enjoyed the show, and thought I did a good job. I know it was super nice to have her there helping me load/unload everything. Actually I used most of her products so that I wouldn't have to haul all of mine over there and back. :) Thanks Mom!

So when we got home that night, the boys couldn't wait for Nana to open her Birthday Presents! And being the good daughter that I am...I couldn't resist this card. I still laugh every time I see it! haha This was just THE perfect card. Don't you all remember the days when you mother was going to just give you a trim...but then by the time she got it even, you had a chili bowl haircut! haha :) Love you Mom!!!! :)

Here she is opening her presents. My Aunt (her sister) and I went in together on a gift for her. It is "Feed On the Word" dishes. We each got her 2 sets. We got her Faith, Wisdom, Praise, and Prosperity. She loved them!

Can you read the scriptures on there? Each piece has a different scripture, under it's subject title...like either faith, prosperity, wisdom, or praise. etc. There are 12 different sets total.

Levi decided to put the bow from Nana's present on his head, and be her birthday present! haha :)

On Saturday we took the boys to play putt-putt. They had a fun time as always.

Then that evening we took Nana out to a really good Steak House for dinner, and some friends of theirs and their daughter (who all go to Mom and Dad's church) met us there. They brought Mom a birthday cake, Irish Creme Cake, her favorite! It was SO GOOD!

It was a wonderful weekend, and I'm so glad that the boys and I got to spend it with them. Happy Birthday Mom! And Happy 35th Anniversary Mom and Dad!!!! I love you both!!!! signed- Your baby girl (aka: taterbug) ;)

Seth's 4 year checkup!

Yesterday Seth had his 4 year well visit. Where does the time go? It seems like it wasn't to long ago, when I was hauling him to the doctor in his little baby seat. Wow, it's so hard to believe that they grow up so fast.

He did great at the doctor! He is in the 50th % on his weight and height, and is growing great. Totally healthy little boy, well, except for his extremely large tonsils that they want us to have removed. Even when he isn't sick, they almost touch in the back of his throat. They are HUGE. But other than that, he did great.

He had to have 3 shots. He kept telling the nurse and the doctor, I don't want any shots...no shots please...just don't give me a shot! hahaa It was cute. But the nurse told him after these shots, he wont have to have any more until he turns 11! So he laid down on the table, and I held his hands, and she was fast! She had the third shot done before he could even start crying. He shed a few tears, but never screamed or cried very loud. He was so good! She put a band aid on him and I scooped him up. The doctor took him to get a balloon and then they let him get something out of the treasure box, and gave him a Batman Sticker. He was happy then! haha

I just can't believe that he is such a big boy already.

I was reminiscing and going through some old photos, and decided to share them with you.

This was me four years ago, on March 8th, the morning we went to the hospital to have Seth.
